Bathurst RSL subbranch will be holding a remembrance service at the Bathurst War Memorial Carillon from 10.30 on Friday, where the name of Bathurst soldiers who have served in wars past are listed.
Subbranch president David Mills said people should reflect in their own way.

“We’re encouraging people to commemorate the people that have served our country,” Mr Mills said.
“Whether it be at a public service or in private remembrance, we want people to think about what that sacrifice means to them.
“It is also an opportunity to reflect on the privileges we have in this country and the privileges that had to be paid for over the past 100 years.”
“No one enjoys war, but we’ve always had volunteers doing their bit to serve their country and a feat like that is really honourable.”
The day is commemorated annual on November 11, in accordance to the formal end of First World War in 1918 at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month.
