It was the first time the NSW Government initiative had been brought to the city.
Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said the free concerts for seniors gave people the opportunity to enjoy the show and sing along to Christmas carols.
“The Seniors Christmas Concerts are the NSW Government’s way of saying thank you to older people in our local community who have done so much for us all,” he said.
Minister for Ageing John Ajaka attended both concerts to and made a short address to those in attendance.
“The Seniors Christmas Concerts are always a sensational show, full of classic hits that we all love and enjoy,” he said.
Regional and outer metropolitan locations for the Seniors Christmas Concerts change each year to make sure that seniors in different NSW communities have the chance to attend.
This year, Seniors Christmas Concerts were also held in Lismore and Wollongong.
