The four-person ambrose event, which was followed by an auction and raffle, attracted almost 130 players.
“The majority of the licensed premises in town put in teams, which include some of their social club patrons, tradespeople and staff,” accord publicity officer Iris Dorsett said.
“It’s a very social, fun-filled day.”
The golf day has raised around $200,000 for local charities over the years, a total that will increase after the latest edition on Wednesday.
“Once we collect the funds, the executive committee will meet early in the new year and make a determination as to where to direct the funds,” Ms Dorsett said.
Barney Rumble’s Christmas lunch and the 2BS Christmas Miracle Appeal have been supported each year since the golf day began 12 years ago.
The event has also provided funding for a Bathurst Regional Council program for youth at the Kelso Community Centre and for a freezer at the Food Bank that runs at the Bathurst City Community Club, among other causes.
“The executive of the liquor accord are exceptionally proud of this event and most appreciative of everyone’s support,” Ms Dorsett said.
The Knickerbocker Hotel team won Wednesday’s golf day competition, the Kelso Hotel team was second and the golf club team was third.
Nearest the pin on the eighth was Tony Wise and on the 13th was Phil Cole of 2BS. The Bradman Award went to the Panthers Leagues team.
