Originally from London, Penny was born on November 22, 1946.
She grew up overseas, and after she met and married her husband the two of them then moved to Australia.
Penny’s family moved to Bathurst some 36 years ago and have been involved in local business including owning Darrell Lea in Bathurst for over 20 years. They now own a tobacconist in town.
About 20 people attended the informal dinner which was held on Saturday night with guests, including Penny’s daughter Sally, along with her family, travelling back from the Central Coast.
Penny’s son, Nicholas, also travelled from Katoomba to be there on the night.
Despite the evening being informal, during the night Sally made a speech, which everyone loved.
Penny said the party was “a beautiful night” and perfect in every way.
