STAFF and students at Denision College Bathurst have elected 14 senior students to the leadership team for the 2017 school year.

The team, comprised of two captains, four vice captains and eight other representatives, will be led by Nicholas Johnson and Eve Currie, who went to Eglinton Public School together before high school.

As members of the leadership team, the students will be required to run fortnightly assemblies, host formal occasions and represent the student body at events outside of school.

Mr Johnson and Ms Currie hope they can make a difference to their school as captains, which is what encouraged them to apply.

“I wanted to say something more came out of Year 12 than an ATAR,” Ms Currie said.
