PROMOTERS of Challenge Bathurst have labelled the four day inaugural challenge as an overwhelming success, and say they can’t wait to get back to Mount Panorama next year.

The event gave drivers the chance to road test their cars, equipment and their driving skills on the iconic circuit.

Event director, James O’Brien, said the for the first year, Challenge Bathurst “went really well”.

“We got a good response from competitors in both volume and feedback in terms of their experience.

“It was a well run event. We had great weather and kept cars off the wall. There were a few hard luck stories, but we got such a lot of positive feedback. There was a really good feel about it.

“We will definitely be back next year.”
