The bus is part of the Children’s Festival of Moving Stories, part of Sydney Writers’ Festival, and is on tour across the state to bring the love of reading to primary school children.
As part of the initiative, each child receives a new book to keep for free.
Bella Mason, 10, Tara Molkentin, 9, and Ewan Beattie, 10, were among those to pick up a new book during the visit.
“I thought it looked like a good book to read,” Bella said of her Friday Barnes selection.
“I’ve read all the other books in the Heroes of Olympus books and this is the next series,” Ewen said of his book The Sword of Summer.
