That is when he will line up in the $50,000 Group 2 MH Treuer Memorial (2,540 metres) at Bankstown.
The son of Kiwi superstar Elsu, Saloon Passage heads into the annual feature after coming from barrier 10 to win in a 1:52.6 mile rate at Menangle last Saturday night.
It was his third win of a 10-start season that has also included five placings amongst stiff company.
Hurst will be in the gig on Friday when Saloon Passage makes his debut at Bankstown. He will go from barrier five, with a familiar face on his inside.
The Lagoon’s Amanda Turnbull will try and continue her impressive run in feature races of late with Tact Tate from barrier four.
Though the five-year-old has not won since June, he has an impressive strike rate.
