“The National Disability Insurance Scheme will be coming to this area from July 1, 2017, so we organised for Andrew Gibson from Every Australian Counts to come up and provide some information to the community so people can find out more,” Seymour Centre manager Terisa Ashworth said.
Every Australian Counts has been set up to ensure the NDIS is delivered as promised.
The NDIS - a new way of providing funding to people with disabilities that will aim to better match their needs – began at a number of trial sites in July 2013 and its introduction in stages began in July this year.
