The last weekend of November was a busy one for the Bathurst City Amateur Swim Club as 41 swimmers competed at four different carnivals in Canberra, Lithgow, Forbes and Mudgee.

It was the last opportunity for swimmers to qualify for the NSW State Age Championships, which are being held from December 9-17.
There was last minute success for one of the club’s young competitors, with Mitchell England achieving his qualifying time in the boys 10 years and under 50 metres freestyle.
This has been something England had been working towards all season.
As well as his qualifying swim, the BCASC had 31 swimmers across the carnivals notching up 125 top three finishes over all age groups.
There were great results as well, with many swimmers achieving time improvements in most of the events they contested.
