A temporary electronic sign near All Saints’ College has been alerting motorists this week that work is due to start on the road on Monday.
That’s good news for drivers who have spent the past few months dodging holes in the road and failing road shoulders, but could spell bad news for motorists during morning and afternoon peak hours.
Previous work on the road created long queues of traffic heading into and out of Bathurst, particularly at the entrance to All Saints’.
All Saints’ students and staff are due to break up for the year on Thursday.
Eglinton Road was dubbed “the most hated road in Bathurst” earlier this year after two resurfacing jobs outside All Saints’ College failed to fix the damaged surface.
It is hoped that dry, warm weather over coming weeks will assist workers this time round.
