Water Polo New South Wales will be bringing free clinics to both Bathurst and Dubbo on December 21.

The Bathurst Aquatic Centre and the Dubbo Aquatic Centre will both host the clinics.
The schedule will follow for both – 7.45am to meet and greet the coaches, 8am for dry land games and activities, 8.30am for water polo drills, games and swimming relays and 9.30am for a Q&A with Australian Olympic water polo players.
Lea Yanitsas and Richie Campbell both represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Participants will also receive a gift pack, featuring a water bottle, a water polo ball and a bumper sticker.
Water Polo NSW community development coordinator Chris Batty will look to have as many children as possible.
“We can accommodate at least 80 students, but we’re targeting up to 100 to come along,” Batty said.
“Water polo is quite a new sport with little momentum, but it is slowly growing.
“Places like Albury, Wagga and Tamworth have seen a rise in participants over the past 10 years.
“We’re looking to promote a sport that is fun and exciting.
“It is also one of the safer sports, that caters to all ages.”
