Local trainers Peter Stanley, Paul Theobald and Dean Mirfin are also in the mix to have horses racing.
Stanley will have four horses racing, Theobald will have two and Mirfin will have three.
Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing general manager Michelle Tarpenning says the high profile trainers is a good sign.
“We’ve received some really good nominations,” Tarpenning said.
“We had two [nominations] from Gai Waterhouse, which is very encouraging and a sign that the racing out here is going strong.”
“The track is good condition, at an ideal good 4.
“Forecast rain on Thursday will help freshen up the track.”
Poldark is co-trained by Waterhouse and Adrian Bott, whom is set to race in the On Trac AG Class 1 & Maiden Plate (2005 metres).
The New Zealand-bred horse will driven by Adam Hyeronimus and the horse will start from barrier seven.
The four-year-old grey gelding has yet to win a race from his seven previous starts.
Waterhouse’s other accepted horse, Gold Emblem, is also co-trained by Bott.
The three-year-old bay or brown gelding has yet to secure a place, from his four previous starts.

Gold Emblem will be driven by Charles Bishop from barrier six, in the day’s opening race at 2:05pm – the Ice Air 3YO Maiden Plate (1405 metres).
Each of the seven races on the day will feature a $20,000 prize pool, with $11,200 awarded to the the victor.
The increases in prize money has seen an increase of provincial entrees, including more higher profile trainers.
“There are quite a few good horses [racing on the day],” Tarpenning said.
“There is a strong local contingent presenting on the day.”
Stanley’s three horses – Dungannon, Destiny Hasselhoff, Flying By and City Boots – will be in with a chance in each of their races.
Dunderry and Beerwillfixit are the two horses Theobald will have racing.
Dunderry is coming off some good form, including a third place finish in Mudgee and a fourth place finish Wellington.
Theobald has recently Dunderry up to the Birdsville Races in September, which he said help “mature” the eight-year-old bay gelding on the near 4000km round trip to Queensland.
Marvel, Googol Pi and Johnnies Cash will be racing, with all three horses trained by Mirfin.
The last race will start at 5:40pm, with the Bathurst RSL Open Handicap (1405 metres).
