A Chocolate Orange, the latest offering from Mountain Murder Mysteries, produced by Bathurst Theatre Company, will be performed at The Carrington on December 9, 10 and 17 (the December 10 show is sold out). Tickets to the show are $70 and include a two-course meal. The evening commences at 6.30pm. Audience members are encouraged to embrace the 1970s theme and dress up for the night. Sunday, December 11
Reliance Credit Union Carols by Candlelight will be held at Machattie Park from 6.30pm. The event, in its 39th year, is co-ordinated by Mitchell Conservatorium as a way to bring the city together for a musical extravaganza. The night will feature traditional carols and Christmas songs, all performed by local musicians. Musicians will include Smith and Jones, George Sargent, Allegri Singers, the Bathurst City and RSL Concert Band, which will support all the soloists, and Peter Denmead, a member of the band.
The Fish River Festival, to raise money for O’Connell Public School, will be held at the O’Connell Hotel from 11am. It will feature local food, drinks, music and more and will run into the evening.
Students from The Dance Factory will take to the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre stage for a special performance at 3pm. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for pensioners and students.
The Central West Roller Derby team will hold an information day at the Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium from 1.30pm. Entry is free. The team will be training and will be able to give people an insight into the sport.
Community Garage Sale will be held from 9am to noon on Mount Panorama. As well as bargains, there will be kids’ activities.
