While it was a disappointing result for the Tigers, captain Trent Fitzpatrick is hopeful of a response on Saturday.
“We need to improve on last week’s performance,” he said.
“We need to be better in all areas.”
Fitzpatrick signalled that neither the batting, bowling or fielding was good enough against the Saints, on December 10.
The Tigers opponents on the day – Centennial Bulls – are coming off an impressive victory, against the previously undefeated Bathurst City side.
“We have a tough game against the Bulls,” Fitzpatrick said.
Even though the Tigers slumped to a shock defeated to the Saints, they performed admirably against the Redbacks.
On November 26, the Tigers held Bathurst City to an incredible result – a tie.
“We got close when we played Bathurst City but we couldn’t hold onto the lead and we gave away to many extras,” Fitzpatrick said.
Fitzpatrick will be absent for Saturday’s game, as will Lachlan Menzies.
Clint Bryant will fill in as captain on the day.
Fitzpatrick said both the Sellers brothers – Dave and Wayne – are looking good.
Jeremy Judge will be looking to bounce back with the ball, but has had a strong season with the bat.
The Bulls will host the Tigers at Morse Park 1.
