Six homes have been picked as the best of the best from across Bathurst and announced as finalists.
Among them, were Jake, 10, and Piper, 8, Henry who led the charge for the extensive festive decorations on their parent’s home at 10 Musgrove Avenue in Laffing Waters.
The main attraction is Santa on a parachute.
- Jake Henry, 11.
Jake said he was in charge of the family home’s light display and each year draws inspiration from other homes across Bathurst and also researches online.
“The main attraction is Santa on a parachute,” he said.
And each night as the home’s lights twinkle Jake dresses as Santa, his sister Piper as an elf, along with the family’s two pet dogs – one as Santa, the other one as a mix of a reindeer and a present.
Other finalists were: 95 Morrisset Street, 22 and 23 James Barnett Drive, 22 Ridgeview Close and 1709 Mutton Falls Road.
Each finalist received a $100 voucher for Chicane Bar and Grill at Rydges Mount Panorama and $100 from Bathurst Real Estate.
A red wishing well now sits at the home of each finalist and whoever raises the most money will be declared the People’s Choice Award winner.
All funds raised will go to the 2BS Bathurst Lions Club Christmas Miracle Appeal.
