While it seems likely St Pat’s Old Boys will not play Centennial Bulls at The Scots School due to wet weather, it has given Saints coach Brendon Cutmore a chance to reflect on the season so far.

Going into a three-week break over the Christmas period, Cutmore said he is pleased with his team’s recent form.
“We’ve been rewarded for our effort in training,” he said.
“We were in some good momentum and it’s disappointing we couldn’t push along with it, but we’re just really enjoying our cricket.
“The last time we played Centennials we were well beaten, so it would’ve been good to put our current brand of cricket into play against them.”
Cutmore said the Christmas break will be good for all teams.
“It gives us a chance to get away from work and sport and just enjoy the festive period,” he said.
Cutmore, who has only been playing cricket in Bathurst for two years, said he is impressed with the competitive nature of the competition and strong local talent on offer.
“I’ve played against all teams now and I’ve noticed there is some really mature and sensible clubs,” Cutmore said.
“Each team seems to have some good juniors everyone is talking about, the players that have been there for years and some crafty bowlers.
“Bathurst should be proud of the rep cricketers and from what I’m hearing is that they take their competitive first grade cricket to the rep scene.”
Saints return to action on January 7 against Bathurst City at the Sportsground.
