A Merimbula man had a front row seat to the showdown on Thursday while working on a home in Long Point.
4: Black-headed pythons fight for love
It may look like a scene from Dirty Dancing, but this footage taken on Toomba Station, Charters Towers, captures two male black-headed pythons fighting for the right to breed with a nearby female.
The video was shot by property owner Josephine Heading who shared it back with her local natural resource management group, NQ Dry Tropics.
5: Woman finds red-bellied black snake hiding in pocket of recliner chair
A woman had a rude awakening while relaxing at home on a property just outside Bega.
“I was sitting in my recliner on Tuesday morning (June) looking for my glasses and I reached down to a side pocket and there was something cold and slimy in there,” a shocked Joyce Parbery said.
