The morning crew of Tom Perfect, Steve Johnson, Warren Weal and Andrew Falconer were triumphant with a nett score of 52.25.
In the afternoon it was the quartet of Pat Kirkness, Greg Sly, Phil Campbell and Trevor Dickie who left with the Xmas hams after a score of 54.60.
Overall second on the day went to Justin Sargent, Sam Cross, Andrew Ballard and Jarred Portegies on 53.87.
Third place went to the A team comprising Glenn Date, Josh Toole, Mick Curtale and Jarred Bosianek with 54 while the scratch was signed off by Manuel Pro, John Young, Darren Smith and David Lilly with 58 off the stick.
Glyn Daunt continued with his mesmerising form of late to post 39 points and a countback win over Bob Pardey and Kevin Callaughan in taking the A-grade honours last Thursday.
Two over par was good enough for Darrell Bourke to win the scratch.
Back to his brilliant best is the only way to describe Ray Pepper after a sublime 44 points enabled him to taste the B-grade victory over Peter Cragg (43) and Peter Starkey (42), the sweet swinging Lester Colley fired 23 points to win the scratch.
The father and son team of Peter and Cooper Starkey returned a fine 50pts in the 2BBB to account for Tony Keech and Cragg on a countback, two-under par saw Bourke and Peter Ring anointed the scratch champions.
“It’s probably one of our biggest events outside of tournaments,” Bathurst Golf Club general manager Brad Constable said.
"The morning and afternoon shotgun starts are a rarity as well. We get a lot of people on board for it.
“We had 200-plus people turning up for this. Normally a good competition field for us is between 160 to 180 people, so that shows how popular this ambrose is.
“There was a lot of festive cheer out there.”
Lorette Sams was the top of the pops on Sunday courtesy of a lovely 40pts, Josh Toole and Ian Miller were left in her wake after both had 38 points.
