To the outsider, there’s every chance it could be an early look at the 2016-17 Twenty20 competition’s grand final match-up.
“We’re really looking forward to it, you always want to play the best sides and it’ll be good to get a look at Bathurst City,” CYMS captain Hamish Finlayson said.
“They obviously started the competition really well with a (51-run) win over Kinross.
“I recognise a few names, so it seems like it will be a really good challenge for us.”
Whichever side claims victory on Friday night will join pool A heavyweights Orange City as the second team all but guaranteed a place in the 2016-17 semi-finals.
“It’s great to see Redbacks here,” Finlayson said.
“It’s created a whole new dynamic to the competition with the likes of them, Cowra, Blayney, Molong and Lithgow playing in the last few seasons.”
