Macquarie Male Singers meet every Tuesday from 7.30pm at the Assumption School Hall in Mitre Street. This all-male choir has a strength of 30 members of all ages. No auditions are required. Call John Kendall, 0427 410 625.
A champagne book launch will be held at Bathurst Art Gallery at 6pm for Two Lives, One Road. A Book of Drawings for the Love of Drawing by Lesley O’Shea and Joe Penn. This is a free event.

School holiday activity: Mini trees with Fiona at Bathurst Library from 10.30am-12.30pm for eight to 17 years. Limit: 20 spots. Cost: $10 per child. This workshop activity is a bit like growing a bonsai in two hours. Participants take a real branch from a tree, attach it to a base and then adorn it with decorated leaves, fruit or flowers.
