IT always amazes Parade how much the internet connects us all to allow us to share experiences.

Most of Parade's online contacts are from some part of Australia, but then there are a few that she keeps in touch with who live overseas.
The internet not only allows Parade to see all the things they're experiencing, but also allows her to see articles, lists and other interesting things from foreign places.
The reason Parade is bringing all this up is because of something she's been seeing more and more of on social media lately.
While all her friends and local news sites are posting about how hot it is in Australia, she is at the same time seeing photos and articles from people in America and Britain who are currently looking for ways to defrost their windscreens and clear their driveways of snow.
It makes Parade laugh to think she is wishing for some cooler days while people on the other side of the world are desperate for some hot weather.
The world is a huge place, but the internet helps make it just that little bit smaller, and that's amazing.
Thankful for a special delivery
PARADE is very fond of a particular sweet treat which you just can’t find in Bathurst, no matter where you look.
For fear of the world’s supplies running out if more people knew about it, she’s going to keep what it is to herself, but Parade can testify it is delicious.
During a visit from her parents over the weekend, Parade was surprised with large quantities of this old favourite that they had picked up on their journey.
Now, Parade was told she could share it with her significant other, but there is little chance of that happening.
