None stood taller than captain Dan Casey, whose unbeaten knock of 153 took his team to a five-wicket win.
Casey and Dave Giorgio (78) put on a 126-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
Casey came to the crease at number six and, along with Giorgio, took his team from 141 to 267 before the latter departed.
At that point the home side had put themselves into a strong position, but the wicket of Casey could have quickly turned the match around in the Tigers’ favour.
However, Tigers couldn’t find that wicket while Casey had no trouble finding the boundary. The Colts captain smashed 22 fours and five sixes in his unbeaten knock.
Jaden Ekert also contributed well to the chase with 41 runs. His explosive innings had just one non-boundary scoring shot.
It was a match of big knocks after ORC’s Dave Hitchick belted 125 in the opening week’s play.
“Chasing down 350 doesn’t happen often. Obviously it’s a very big chase,” Casey said.
“They bowled very well to start with, they were hitting the right lines. We were patient through the middle section of the day and that’s what got us through, because they bowled some very good spells.
“We had to bat the whole day if we were going to get those runs. We had a decent start in terms of rate, it was just a question of if we could bat out the day and avoid losing wickets.
“I recorded some runs in our first game but I hadn’t done a lot since.
“I just wish I was hitting like this a couple of weeks ago in Grafton [in Bathurst’s Country Cup semi-final loss], so it’s a little bit too late but still great for me personally.”
Angus Daymond was the best of the ORC bowlers with 2-68 off his 14 overs.
