Many use the festival as a great opportunity to celebrate big birthdays such as 21sts, 40ths and 50ths, others it’s wedding anniversaries and then there’s all those friendship reunions.
But for one Bathurst family, the Elvis Festival has become an event they will treasure for years to come.
Little Braxton Bourke took his very first steps at last year’s festival, and it was to the sweet sound of Elvis Presley music.
“It’s our second festival,” mum Anita Bot said.
“Braxton started walking here so this is very special for us.”
Anita and Braxton, who’s now 22 months old, were spotted in Cooke Park on Saturday evening at the 25th Anniversary Party.
