A 29-YEAR-OLD man is due to face court later today charged with assaulting a woman in Kelso.

Police began investigating an allegation of sexual assault after receiving a report on Sunday before two women attended a home in Culnane Place, Kelso on Monday where they met the 29-year-old man.
Police allege an altercation ensued and the man punched a 41-year-old woman, giving her minor injuries. The two women fled the area.
A short time later, the man allegedly forcibly entered a home on Gilmour Street, Kelso and dragged a 21-year-old woman into his car.
After driving around the Kelso area for 30 minutes, he drove the woman to Bathurst police station where she reported the incident to police and he was arrested.
Police will allege the two women and the 29-year-old man were known to each other.
The man has been charged with sexual assault, two counts of entering a dwelling to commit a serious indictable offence, detain for advantage, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of malicious damage and one count of common assault.
He was bail refused to appear at Bathurst Local Court today.
