The cultural facility held its second school holiday workshop for the summer, where tutor Fiona Howle showed kids the art of paper rolling, also known as quilling.
Using this technique, they were able to make three-dimensional pictures that could be displayed at home.
“The shapes and colours are inspired by the Brett Whiteley exhibition at BRAG and the kids have really been able to explore the manipulation of different textures of paper,” Ms Howle said.
Some children made ocean and beach landscapes, other just used creative patterns.
“At first it was maybe just the activity of rolling paper, but then they started to see different pictures in their work,” Ms Howle said.
BRAG has two more workshops planned this week.
Thursday’s workshop is Birds in the Landscape, while children will learn the art of ink blowing on Friday.
