A spokesperson from the party confirmed that Upper House member Robert Borsak and the party’s sole representative in the NSW Lower House, the Member for Orange Philip Donato, will be in Oberon on Saturday to talk about matters affecting the community.
Mr Donato took the Orange electorate from the NSW Nationals in a voter swing at the by-election last November that caught even close political watchers by surprise.
The party spokesperson would not confirm if the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers would contest the seat of Bathurst at the 2019 state election.
Oberon Anti Amalgamation Committee president Brian Dellow, however, has warned the Nationals that the committee will campaign against the party at the 2019 election if the merger goes ahead.
The merger remains on hold pending legal challenges.
