The Bathurst pair claimed their second win in three games as they bowled Central Northern out for 157 runs in their pursuit of 221.
Tom Nelson (43), Corey McDean (38) and Brock Larance (37) top scored for Western. Mitchell also made a handy contribution of 22 runs in the middle order.
The team came up two overs shy of seeing out their 50 overs.
Western had Central Northern on the back foot instantly in their innings, rolling six of their top seven batsmen for single figures.
Only opener Kieran Dennis (37) provided resistance in the top order.
A stubborn Central Northern tail gave their side a glimmer of hope but Nick Hall did the damage for Western with his figures of 4-24.
Larance and Tanvir Singh each found two wickets.
