The Cobras defeated the second-placed Western Sydney Vikings 98-85 on Saturday at the Auburn Basketball Centre to retain first place on the ladder.
The Cobras were slow to start, trailing 23-20 in the first quarter, before lifting their tempo to lead 49-42 at the half-time break.
McCorkindale sent a scare through the Cobras when he went down injured in the second quarter, but he returned to the game in the second half to finish with a double-double of 12 points and 13 boards.
The Cobras will face the Vikings again in the major semi-final on February 4, the winner to advance to the decider.
