Chloe McCarthy, 21, of Moresy Cres, Whalan appeared before Magistrate Michael Allen in Bathurst Local Court on January 16, charged with assaulting an officer in the execution of duty and affray.
Police facts told how at 10.15pm on December 3, police were at a public order incident in Kelso, involving up to 40 people who were behaving in an aggressive manner.
One female was arrested and taken from the area, when a second female, McCarthy, stared yelling at police demanding to know where her friend had been taken.
She became argumentative with police, yelling and swearing at them, when a detective told her to stop “carrying on” so police could speak with her. She stepped forward and hit him with an open hand to the right shoulder. She then hit him again with some force, before being arrested.
On the assault officer charge she received a conditional discharge Section 10 Bond for 12 months. The affray matter was withdrawn and dismissed.
