The Lagoon’s Emma Turnbull, alongside other leading female drivers Ellen Rixon and Madi Young, will wear the Women’s Cancer Foundation (WCF) silks in all of their drives from February 1 to March 11 as 2017 WCF racing ambassadors.

The drivers are playing their part to increase awareness of ovarian cancer and every female harness racing driver across the state will be wearing teal coloured driving pants when competing in official races during the campaign. .
Ms Turnbull, who raised over $12,000 during last year’s campaign, is hopeful as much money again this time round.
“Harness racing picked [up the cause] and I’m happy to get behind it, because it is a good cause,” she said.
“I’ll try and get as many people on board [to sponsor me] by my first drive on Sunday.
“Last year, I mainly got local businesses and people I knew to get on board.”
