Women of rock
THIS Saturday morning on “Rockpile” between 9am and noon, Alan Taylor will be focusing on “The Women Of Rock”.
Alan will be covering the early rock and roll era, with female artists like Wanda Jackson and Brenda Lee, the women who rocked through the 1970s and 1980s, like Suzi Quatro, Deborah Harry, Joan Jett and Jenny Morris, all the way through all-female groups like the Go-Gos, to groups fronted by female singers, like the Cranberries.
That’s “The Women Of Rock”, this Saturday morning on “Rockpile” with Alan Taylor on 2MCE.
50s and 60s hits
THIS week, Cary will be focusing on classic jukebox hits from the 1950s and 1960s, which he admits will be the earliest music he has played on the show so far.
If you’re a fan of music from the era that introduced us to rock and roll on the jukebox, this will be a couple of hours not to be missed, and Cary promises that he’ll come up with several tracks that you haven’t heard for a long time.
Jukebox classics
AND speaking of jukebox hits, don’t forget Saturday Night Jukebox between 6pm and 10pm.
Saturday Night Jukebox gives you the opportunity to request your favourites from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
