UPDATE 5.22pm: Firefighters have reached the mopping up stage of the William Street fire. All animals at the RSPCA have been saved, no buildings were destroyed but several cars were extensively damaged by the fire.

Saturday 5pm: Residents are being reminded to give right of way to emergency vehicles and obey the road rules as fire crews continue to fight the fire in William Street.
Saturday 4.30pm: A firefighter has been treated for suspected heat stress and precautions are being made to keep firefighters hydrated.
Animals from the RSPCA are being taken to veterinary clinics due to stress. Volunteers from Blossums Rescue have been helping to evacuate the animals.
Saturday 3pm: Explosions have been heard and black smoke filled the air as a fire continues to blaze at a business in William Street.
Firefighters and emergency services from across the region are battling the fire, which has led to traffic chaos in the area.
The fire is alleged to have been deliberately lit earlier on Saturday afternoon.
The site backs on to the the north-south railway line.
Animals from the nearby RSPCA shelter have been evacuated.
