Valentine’s Day is here
A quick survey around Parade’s office on Monday afternoon revealed love is alive and well, with many couples celebrating Valentine’s Day.
One staff member spent lunchtime looking for a gift for his new girlfriend, and ended up with a gorgeous necklace featuring her birthstone in the centre.
Another colleague has V-Day wrapped up, she’s brought her boyfriend some aftershave and 50 heart shaped chocolates.
Even the older couples haven’t lost sight of romance, one pair, who are also celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary, we’re overheard discussing what to buy the other, which also showed the simple things often mean the most with the husband requesting, of all things some Krispy Kreme donuts and muesli bars!
For those couples less loved or or organised for today, it’s not too late.
Restaurants across town will be open later then usual, and there are plenty of other options as well; try breakfast in bed or a hot lunch date.
