The Blayney Hay Bale Art Challenge last year saw all manner of hay bale sculptures appear on the side of the road along the b2b route, much to the delight of participants and visitors.
Last year’s winner was Tim Mendham from Barry who used about 300 hay bales to build a magnificent castle complete with drawbridge and moat, but other entries included an oversize bicycle, a slingshot sheep and a Very Hungry Caterpillar.
The competition has been expanded this year to include displays from school groups, community groups, local farmers and residents, along with a Facebook “selfie” competition.
The Blayney Hay Bale Art Challenge will from March 27 to April 3 with sculptures to be judged and winners announced on Wednesday, March 29.
For more information, phone Blayney Town Association member Tamara Miller on 0407 108 159.
