The early Group 10 favourite Panthers have been dealt a tricky draw on February 24, penned in to face Group 9 powerhouse Albury Thunder for their Friday night opening round clash.
If successful in progressing, Todd Barrow’s men will likely face Group 9 giants Gundagai in Saturday’s finals fixtures.
The other clubs on the Panthers side of the draw are the Yenda Blueheelers, Leeton Greens, Wagga Kangaroos and Woden Valley Rams.
Orange CYMS are the other Group 10 club will be making the trip for the tournament. The green and golds will kick-off their campaign against Group 9 club Temora.
In an early blockbuster, Group 9 premiers Southcity Bulls will take on Group 11 champions Forbes Magpies from 7.40pm.
Forbes, Southcity and hosts West Wyalong Mallee Men join CYMS on the same side of the knockout’s draw.
Panthers will play in Friday’s last match, at 11pm. CYMS will play in the match prior to that at 10.20pm.
The winning club at the knockout will receive $10,000 while the runners-up will take home $2,500.
The tournament’s final on the Saturday will get underway from 9.30pm.
