An article about the event, titled The dummy’s guide to the 2017 Bathurst 12 Hour, was published on the show’s website following the event.
Everything from who won to the difficulty of the track was covered.
Mayor Gary Rush said the article was proof of how much the event is growing.
“The Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour has established an international reputation as a challenging endurance event, and there is no surprise that International programs such as Top Gear UK has made mentioned of the event. The growth and popularity of the 12 Hour this year attracted a field of more than 60 cars representing 15 brands; a world-class field of GT vehicles,” he said.
“As the event continues to grow it is expected the extent of the television coverage and recognition on international programs will also continue to expand.”
