Parade, for one, wasn’t surprised by that information at all.
It is common knowledge that LEGO is popular among children, so popular in fact that Forbes named it number one on its 2015 list of top 10 most powerful brands.
It beat out brands such as Rolex and Nike for top billing.
BRAG commissioned the LEGO models after being inspired by a similar exhibition featuring the Colosseum.
In Parade’s opinion, the gallery’s addition of the pit of LEGO bricks was what really drew in families.
How many other exhibitions are there that can keep kids busy for hours with a hands-on activity?
On top of that, the exhibition was held at a time where kids and their parents had far more flexible schedules.
With such a strong result, it wouldn’t surprise Parade at all if patrons start seeing more exhibitions of this nature at BRAG.
Too much cake is a real thing
PARADE has discovered the hard way that there is such a thing as too much cake.
Her household celebrated a birthday this week, seeing not one, but three, cakes wind up in the kitchen.
Visitors to Parade’s house enjoyed ice cream cake on the weekend as an early celebration and then on the day itself, there was cake a the birthday girl’s workplace and then again at home with the family.
The volume of cake has overtaken the fridge and freezer and the members of the household are struggling to eat through it all.
It will be a long time before another cake is brought home.
