Well-known on the Bathurst music circuit, Abby Smith and Sophie Jones say they are excited to release the 12-track album, Dark Gives Way to their local audience.

“It’s exciting and the Bathurst community just supports us so much,” Ms Jones said.

Ms Smith said it was important to them to launch the album in their home town and many fans will already be familiar with the songs.

With a number of Smith and Jones songs already on rotation at Bathurst’s radio stations, Ms Jones said it was a very exciting time.

“It’s really surreal, especially hearing your song on in the background,” she said.

Smith and Jones will play their full album at the launch this Friday at Bathurst Airport hangar number one at 6.30pm.

Tickets are $20 on the door and RSVPs are essential for catering purposes to Smith and Jones or The Hub cafe on Facebook.
