That’s the equation City Colts face in their bid to chase down St Pat’s Old Boys’ total of 178 at Morse Park.
Colts captain Dan Casey (14) and Henry Allen (1) will be the batsmen out in the middle when their Bathurst District Cricket Association first grade match resumes on Saturday.
Second spot the competition is on the line for Colts but at 4-31 it’s going to take a resilient batting performance to get home.
Despite the tricky position Casey remains upbeat going into the second day’s play.
“It’s not looking too bad. We did well to keep them to the score that we did because it was a good deck to bat on,” he said.
“If you said that we would keep them to 178 in their innings at the start of the day then I definitely would have taken that.
“I was very happy with the way we bowled but no so happy with the way we’ve batted. Henry Allen and myself are in at the moment but we’ve got Henry Shoemark coming back in this week and guys like Tony Clancy and Matt Stephen are still to come.
“Despite it being 4-31, if we back to our potential, or even close to it, then we can get there.
“Pat’s, to their credit, have some great young bowlers at the moment and also a very fired up Matt Fearnley.”
Fearnley currently boasts figures of 3-6 and will be out for more Colts victims when play resumes.
Bailey Webber claimed the other wicket for the Saints, who are chasing their second straight win over the Colts in first grade.
