The vehicle had been reported stolen over the weekend from the industrial area in Hampden Park Road, Kelso.
It was later found tipped on its roof and partially burnt-out near the railway tracks.
A hot box of grog
A CARTON of Jim Beam and cola cans was among the items stolen from a smash and grab on a car parked in William Street over the weekend.
Police said the thieves gained entry to the vehicle by smashing a small window.
They stole the alcohol, a phone charger and clothing.
The theft occurred some time between 10pm on Saturday and the early hours of Sunday morning.
In a separate incident, a tool box was stolen from the back of a utility parked in Piper Street.
Storage units break-in
THIEVES have broken into five storage units in Toronto Street, Kelso.
Police say the break-in occurred sometime between 11pm on Friday and 4am on Saturday.
It appears nothing has been stolen.
