Doug Rowe, well-known as a member of the band Pig Iron Bob and as a long-time groundsman at All Saints’ College, passed away in 2015.
Artists associated with Mr Rowe over his entire music career will be playing at the tribute night, which will be a family-friendly event that will raise money for Carenne School.
There will be performances from Rob Breese, Paul McGovern, James Wynne, Emotional Park Vandals, Pig Iron Bob (three versions, including the newly formed current line-up of Pig Iron Bob which will be operational from 2017 forward) and Tim Roebuck before a finale featuring songs by Mr Rowe.
Those attending are asked to bring a platter and make a small change donation at the door.
Mr Rowe came to All Saints’ College in 1990, having spent the previous four years on the staff at St Ignatius’ College (Riverview) and The King’s School in Sydney.
He was a cricket coach at the college and was also involved with the college choir.
The tribute night will be held at the Bathurst City Community Club on Thursday, March 23 from 6pm to 10pm.
