The popular attraction in Machattie Park showcases hundreds of spectacular begonias which are native to South America.
Bathurst Regional Council horticulturalist Melanie Morris said while the harsh hot weather had impacted some blooms, their peak time was usually mid-March.
She said the blooms were notoriously difficult to grow in the average backyard.
“They don’t mind the cooler days, but they don’t like the direct sunlight,” Ms Morris said.
Begonia House has been a feature in the park since 1936 and many of the blooms can trace their origins to this period.
A lot of these varieties are original ones from when the house first opened.
