The Bathurst West outfit saved its best performance for last, knocking off Kelso White 11 runs to seven in the decider at the Bathurst Indoor Sports Stadium.
Carenne Public School teacher and organiser Terry Neal was thrilled with the talent on show from the six teams involved.
“It’s a great day and for us to be able to give these kids the chance to both play cricket and represent their school is fantastic,” Neal said.
“The talent was brilliant as well. There’s a number of kids that will go on to high school next year and be part of the program again at a higher level.”
And if the scores during the primary school carnival are anything to go by, they’ll shine.

All teams competing – Eglinton, Bathurst West, Cowra’s Holman Place, Carenne and two sides from Kelso took part – regularly pushed the 30-run mark with the bat.
A mark rarely reached during the secondary schools carnival last week.
