The event is aiming to raise $90,000 to help find a cure for one of Australia’s biggest killers.
With over 300 participants and 40 teams currently competing, people can still enter on the day.
Saints And Sinners team captain Linda Cant said she is involved in Relay For Life because she has been personally affected, by cancer.
“I relay because I want to make a difference in the fight against cancer,” she said.
“My dad [Pat Alexander] has survived prostate cancer and its treatment.
“I, like many others, have known many friends, family and patients within my job that have been affected by cancer.
“I have close friends and relatives who have battled cancer and who have benefited from the support of professionals and friends.”
Saints And Sinners is a large All Saints’ School based team, made up of students, staff and personal friends and family.
The team is in their second year and raised over $13,000 in 2016.
With $5,691.79 raised so far, the team is well on their way to matching last year’s total.
“You don’t have to look far to know someone suffering the effects of cancer, either directly or as carer,” Ms Cant said.
“Any contribution, large or small, to helping people cope with the effects of the disease, prevention or research is worthwhile and appreciated.”
Last year, the Bathurst and District Relay For Life managed to raise $94,250, with 43 teams entered and 547 participants involved.
$67,633.37 has been raised so far, for a target of $90,000.
There will be plenty of events held across the two days.
Saturday’s proceedings will begin with the survivor and career lap at 1.45pm and will finished with the closing ceremony, at 9am on Sunday.
Saturday will see the first running of the Battle of the Bands, a competition that provides high school and university students, under the age of 25, a chance to showcase their band’s talent.
The winner will see their song recorded and played on B-Rock FM.
Miss Relay will give men the chance to dress up in their best female attire and go head to head in the categories of brain, beauty and brawn.
There will be plenty of games and activities on offer for children, including the screening of three movies throughout the night – Oddball, Frozen and Finding Dory.
