Saturday, March 18
Collectors and Antique Arms Show will be held at the Bathurst Showground on Saturday and Sunday. It will be open on Saturday from 9am-4.30pm and on Sunday from 9am-3.30pm. Admission is $10 for adults and $18 for families (two adults and children under 16). There will be a wide variety of displays and collectables, antiques and modern firearms.
Bathurst Family History Group will meet in the Bathurst Library Meeting Room at 2pm for a general meeting, to be followed by guest speakers Dr Perry MacIntyre and Leonie Blair. They will be talking about the Irish Famine orphan girls who came to Bathurst from 1848-1850.
Harmony Day will be celebrated at a free event in the Bathurst Library and Art Gallery forecourt from 10am-noon. It will include performances from the Bathurst Drumming Group, the Sounds Live Choir, Isabella Jacobson, Liz Talbot and Emily Geerkins and Katelyn Witherspoon. There will be kids’ activities as well.
