Bathurst MP Paul Toole called Mrs McMahon an “extraordinary citizen” who had contributed to her community through services including the scouting movement and local hospital board.
“Her dedication to Camp Quality Is outstanding and she adheres to the policy to create a better life for every child living with cancer in Australia,” Mr Toole said.
“Both Laurie and her wonderful husband Ray couldn’t be prouder of their endeavors to help them achieve that.
“Supporting Camp Quality and travelling across the area to sell raffle tickets to raise both funds and awareness of the plight of others, Laurie McMahon is a wonderful reflection of a remarkable community member.”
