The 51-year-old man was travelling along the Vale Road on his three-wheel bicycle just before 10am when he struck a large pothole which threw him off his bike.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene and the man was treated for a head injury.
Chifley Local Area Command Sergeant Dennis Martin said paramedics treated the man for a “small laceration to his head”.
“He was transported to [Bathurst] hospital to be treated and observed,” he said.
The accident occurred near the intersection of Hen and Chicken Lane, around 8.6 kilometres south of Bathurst.
