But with a background in catering, she devised an online catering service selling a range of healthy salads, wraps and other homemade slices, which can be delivered to your door.
Her concept, The Lunch Runner was born, and this week, the business has expanded to include a hole in the wall outlet, in the Brooke Moore Centre, where people cannot only get a fresh salad, but great coffee as well.
The online delivery system will still operate in line with the hole in the wall cafe.
Mrs Davis said The Lunch Runner is designed to help you make taking your lunch to work easy.
“How many times have you bought all your ingredients on a Sunday with good intentions to take your lunch to work, but never get around to making it”
“The Lunch Runner can do the job for you.
“Place your order for lunch on our website and we will deliver straight to your office,” she said.
Mrs Davis said she got the idea for her business as a time poor parent who preferred home made fresh food for lunch at work.
“It’s just as easy to make 50 salads as it is to make one,” she said.
“It’s a simple concept, but it works.”
The Lunch Runner’s hole in the wall cafe is open Monday to Saturday, 6.30am until 2.30pm, people can order at the cafe or on line at www.thelunchrunner.com.au
