Parade is keen to get among all the fresh, local produce the region has to offer.
The gates of the Bathurst Showground will be open to the public from 8am to midday and entry to the markets will be by a gold coin donation.
High profile farmer Matthew Evans and My Kitchen Rules judge Colin Fassnidge will be the markets’ main attraction, for the Sustainable Living Expo.
The expo will provide information about sustainable living, including green design and construction, solar power, gardening and wildlife.
See what’s on offer, including cheap eats, as the markets are a great place to meet friends and help the Bathurst community.
Among other attractions at the markets will be Denison College’s trout sale.
Pull on the boots – soccer is back
PARADE is excited to announce to you (if sport is your thing) that both all-age men and women soccer competitions are back on Sunday.
Draws were sent out by Bathurst District Football to its member clubs on Thursday, meaning the long- awaited season is almost here for the soccer community of Bathurst.
While some clubs are somewhat frustrated by the early start to the season, it’s great to see so many teams in the local competition’s men’s first grade.
Ten teams will be represented in the top grade this year, up from six in the 2016 season.
Cowra Eagles, Abercrombie FC, Mudgee Wolves, Macquarie United Colts, CSU Bathurst (two teams), Lithgow Workmen’s Club (two teams) and Panorama (two teams) will all play in the top grade.
Seven grades will represent senior soccer in Bathurst, with four grades in men’s and three in women’s.
And a big congratulations to Eglinton District Football Club, which will be represented by an all-age female team for the first time in the women’s top grade.
Parade also wishes all the best to Eglinton’s fourth grade men’s side.
